Today marks the day I served the nation for eleven months. It wasn't short, nor was it long. It was in the midway. Myraids of events have happened these months, assorted feelings experienced...

BMTC, STC, 1SIR... Tekong, Sembawang, Mandai Hill... All those familiar camp names and road names... All those fiery or friendly officers and sergeants... I've seen them through... The good ones became friends... Well, the bad ones remains as acquaintances... Sad to say, most all of those in my current camp are still acquaintances...

Through these months, I learned how to appreciate things... Family and friends, they became essentials and pillars in supporting me through...

And now, I'm halfway through it...

Soon, by the blinking of an eye...

Contradicting Myself A Little

I saw this:

The reason my heart is broken and incomplete is that, I gave her a piece of my heart and she gave me a piece of hers in its place. But she took her piece back... but she's still got mine. So she's doing just great with much more than she had before, and I'm left empty inside - my heart incomplete, my life incomplete, my very essence torn to pieces.

So I think about her again...

And then, I read this:

As I look back on all that's happened..... growing up, growing together, changing you, changing me -- there were times when we dreamed together, when we laughed and cried together. Shawn Tay - Smiling for the first time in Sept

TueSdAys WiTh Dreamland

Went for driving lesson followed by a medical appointement at Alexandra Hospital hours ago... Enjoy my tuesday... CoZ is nice day to be at home... No place is as comfortable as the feeling of being in bed, with my smelly blanket and Miss Bolster (let's call her BoBo) who was flooded with my "amylase"!

Yesterday was chaotic as I got to settle both monday's and tuesday's workload for today's medical appointment... Getting real frustrated when I was settling the recruit's personal equipments problem... U couldn't imagine how stoopig they can be?!

Some take combat boots which are far too small for their legs, while others wear L size uniforms, even though they are the size of Audrey?! And there are two smart alecs who decided to take ten pairs of pants, instead of five set of uniform (shirt + pants)... *My jaws dropped when I heard it"! My officer told me to strangle them... I told him I would if I can!

Finally, the day ended unsmoothly... And decided to reward myself, I gave myself and Daddy Mummy a treat with a box of SangriLa Hotel Mooncakes costing at $37.50... Their durian mooncake was marvellous! Yummy!

Have a couple of dreams today's morning... Wonder was I dreaming, thinking or imagining? Or a mixture of all three?

I dreamt about being back in Bintan again ... Irin had grown up, becoming a real handsome dude, as Aloy and I ate Gado Gado at his living room... The others were also present...

Next, I dreamt about army... About my last day in camp... I was happily telling those bastards how much I hated them! And of coZ saying goodbye to some dearie campmates...

Last, I dreamt of being back in studies again... Got into local uni... Vividly, I guessed it was SMU... I was happily enjoying my life there... Afterall, studying is much better then working...

Phew, what dreams I had! Hope all these will come true soon...

Sunday In Camp

Friday was rather hectic, or even hazardous as the bengish infantry men came in... Most of them aged between 16 to 18, which are bloody hell so young... And 6 out of 10 of them have tattoos on their bodies... But not for long, regardless of blonde, green, red, or whatever colour hairstyle, they ended up all looking the same with that recruit's hairstyle! BOTAK! LOL! And out of the 98 who supposed to turn up, only 78 did... Which meant that more then 20 of them had AWOLed (absence without leave)!

I spent my saturday all the way sleeping on my bed... And only went for a short lunch with Mum and Dad at Chinatown in the afternoon... And Sunday, I'm back in camp!!! HaiZ... But anyway got to thank Mum and Dad for driving me here this morning... I just couldn't wake up on time!

Right back in camp, had been busy with work again... And my office commander has decided to put me in charge of a BBQ at East Coast! WTF! Freaking lots of Sai Kang to do again!

Not All Mondays Are Blue...

A monday spent in a relax way... Needa go camp due to physiotherapy session at AH... Accomplished a few things today...

1. FINALLY, after receiving enough nags from mum, I went to change my HP subscription... Now using SunTalk500... Free incoming call all the way... Call me for a chat when free!

2. Went Bugis to pray pray for the family... End of the Seventh Month... Hoping the best for the next...

3. Have a haircut... The hairstylist was damn rough! She accidentally cut my head, bleed abit... Sob sob.. Then, when finished, she used the "sucker" thingy to suck those remaining hairs on my face... And she sucked my face!!! In the end, I left the salon with a circular red mark on my face... Heard giggles and laughters from my back... I swore not to go there anymore...

4. Had Mushroom soup for lunch... Yummy! Been having soup craving for a long long time...

Last, I spent the last two hours in the city at Coffee Club Express... Have a cafe Latte as I read my "Tuesdays With Morrie... A much more boring book compared with "Five people U meet in heaven"... Anyway, is relaxing...

Well, heard that people are not convinced that WeiLian won the Project Superstar title,
Said he got it by sympathy votes...

I do admit Kelly sung better,
But competition is not only about talent,
Is about charisma and X-factor...

I would rather said WeiLian got his votes by his bravery and courage.
Imagine standing in front of thousands of audience,
Cheering and receiving comments from judges he never seen before,
How could he not be nervous?

Though I admired Kelly's talent,
WeiLian got my vote,
Not forgetting his voice that had touched my heart...

Last Enjoyable Weekend

Fatigue! Exhausted! Worn out! A busy week in camp... Will be worst up next as the men come in on 9th Sept 2005... It marks the end of my slacking army life... Won't be booking out until 24th Sept 2005!!! Sob Sob...

Was home at 1900hrs on friday evening... And I slept all the way till midnight, before waking up for dinner... Brother bought another girl home... Finally, someone who is not a sore in my eyes... A sweet looking one... Rather demure and reserved... Anyway, I thought she was shocked and disgusted to see me in boxers and nothing else! Thanks brother for that, who bought her to my room immediately when he reached home... *Two slaps for him* Dozed off thereafter till sat afternoon...

Went town with GuoLiang, Junyu and WeiHao... Had dinner at Fish & Co. before heading for movie - "One More Chance" at Plaza Singapura... It was overall a nice movie, really funny but stoopig ending! Went TCC for a cuppa therafter... Was discussing about cars on our way home, and Madza3 sport is definetely my choice (GuoLiang's too)... Well, I guessed is more conventional, affordable and handsome looking... Dad said he might be getting one more car if I study in Singapore... Well, I hope to "saiko" him to get this if that's e case... *Two slaps for dreaming!* Anway, I enjoy my weekend la, though can't go clubbing with Darren and guys...

Hiak hiak, specs spoilt and gotta replaced a new one... Decided to get a cheap one for army usage... Got this "cheapo" and thought I looked damn studious, or rather nerdy in it!!! Haha
